Main Coach
Robert Jankovic
Robert and his team have over ten years of training experience using the EKT method and are coaching European U21 doubles champion Veritsa Yaneva.
They coach players of all ages but especially love working with kids — teaching technical and physical skills in a fun, motivating environment. The kids brag about their time long after camp ends.
Training Method
Training is conducted using the Evolution Kids Tennis (EKT) method, in group lessons. Children ages should be between 3 and 10 years old (exceptions possible). Children are split into smaller groups based on age and playing level — every child gets ~2 hours of group training per day on average, but will be on court longer for chill-out, playing and watching others.
Through the EKT program young players develop all the skills necessary to play great tennis — not just technical strokes, but tactical skills, key athletic skills and the competitive skills to love the game. We ensure players are ready both physically and emotionally to love the challenges that come with being a real little court warrior.
Sample Program — Level 1
Evolution Tennis consists of over 100 fun exercises for playing and motoric skills. Example for Level 1:
Moving Skills
Ready Position — feet apart, eyes on the ball, moving in different directions and returning to ready position each time.
Body Balances — twist and stretch, stand on tiptoes, balance on different body parts.
Move like a ___! — animals, puppets, airplanes, cars, spacemen. Forwards, sideways and slowly backwards.
Tennis Skills
Racket — hold with one or two hands, move with it, pass it to another player.
Go Walkabout — use racket to move the ball in different ways: egg and spoon, push along the ground, balance on a cone.
Rolling Rally — rally the ball along the ground with a partner, standing sideways, making the racket move in the partner's direction.
Ball Skills
Carry and Roll — carry a ball, run, stop, put it down, pick it up and roll towards a target.
Toss Things Up — keep a balloon in the air by tapping with different body parts, throw and catch scarves and bean bags.
Throw Under and Overarm — show overarm and underarm throws, aiming at big then smaller targets.
Learning Skills
Follow the Leader — watch the coach and copy their movements, start and stop on cue.
Understand Spaces — find a space on the court, move in and out without touching others, move away and towards a point on court.
